Software Manager (California)
We currently have an opening for a Software Manager in our California office. We are a software company that develops tools to help users understand their Internet traffic. If you want to be part of a motivated team solving interesting problems, then this job is for you. We are looking for a software manager with the following qualifications:

The main responsibilities of the position are as follows:

BS degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics
2+ yrs. in software engineering
2+ yrs. working with Linux required (Debian preferred)
Experience managing software installations
Experience with CVS, Subversion or other versioning software
Experience with scripting languages like Python or Perl
Strong written and spoken communication skills

In this position, you will work with developers to release new versions of the software. You will install, update, and manage versioning information as well as release documents for the software. You will help in the maintenance of the software at various locations. You will work closely with engineers and client service personnel to develop the software roadmap for the product. You will help research data to help client's gain a better understanding of data collected on their web sites.


Help Desk
Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a technical support role. Must be a team player and be able to handle multiple responsibilities with a commitment to excellent customer service.

Special Skills/Experience Required:

  • Administration of Technology help desk phone and email accounts
  • Provide first level on-site and remote desktop support for company staff
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software and network problems Support and configuration of laptops, desktops and PDA's

Qualifications / Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in providing tech help desk support
  • Hands on experience with NT LAN administration: setting up users, printers, etc. Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
  • Knowledge of Norton/Symantec products
  • Knowledge of remote desktop support tools (VPN)
  • Strong detail orientation to procedures and documentation; able to document procedures
  • Self-motivated, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent trouble-shooting, communication and customer service skills
Education:
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
